Conclusions
While in the end we did have a working 'bot, we had more than our fair share of challenges along the way. Our initial design for the launcher was completely overhauled from a catapult system to a flywheel system. The flywheel system was a lot more reliable, and easy to tune. We had a lot of bugs in our code initially, and when doing this again, we would be more rigourous with our coding practices. The root of all these issues was poor coordination and communication between the teammates. We would also want to perfoerm more tests and perform them earlier.
Another major issue we had with the 'bot was that we had a lot of failures on the day of the competition. For example, the limit switch broke, presumably out of overuse. Other components failed similarly, and the only explanation we could think of was fatigue. Despite this, our warrior was capable of taking down all 4 stationary towers in the arena. Unfortunately, due to a inexplicable glitch at the competition, it stopped at the armory. In the future, we would perform more tests to iron out these issues.
